PIPPIN
Time to update you on one of our oldest forever foster girlies, Pippin.
Pippin came to us four years ago this month and she will be 15 years young in
August. You may remember, when she came to us, she was a poorly girl needing
lots of help with her general health and allergies. She came to us with mammary
tumours that needed immediate attention and thanks to our supporters rallying to
help us raise the funds, she was able to get the operation she needed.
We have changed her diet now to help support her tummy and general wellbeing
and we are keeping a very close eye on any changes in her mobility so that we can
tweak her pain medication as needed to ensure we keep her as comfy as possible
through her twilight years.
She recently had a full MOT which included a geriatric blood panel, urinalysis and
blood pressure check. For a very elderly lady, everything is ticking along pretty well
but we are just keeping a careful eye on her kidneys to make sure we support them
well as she gets older.
Our thanks to everyone for your support and donations
which enable us to keep this lady as fit and healthy as we
can for as long as we can and our thanks to her foster
mum too who is caring so well for her from day to day.
Pippin and BTRF say thank you to you all!
Did you know you can Sponsor me too
through our ‘Sponsor a Foster Dog Scheme’
so that there are some pennies set aside to
be used just for my care.
