Can you help BTRF Bridge the Gap?
We are increasingly finding that the dogs coming in to us for adoption have conditions that require ongoing medical care, including costly medications to treat chronic conditions, past injuries, or age-related health issues - often for life.
Unfortunately, pet insurance companies won't cover these conditions in a new home as they are seen as pre-existing. With the increasing number of dogs coming to us each year (14 so far in 2025) and the increasing cost of veterinary care, BTRF just could not support every dog with existing conditions, lifelong.
There are so many lovely homes waiting to adopt a dog who also just can’t cover the cost of these pre-existing conditions. Whilst we know that not everyone is in a position to adopt or foster a dog you could help us bridge the gap.
Our new 'Bridge the Gap' scheme is a commitment to a regular monthly donation, however small, that will go directly towards essential medication and treatment for our adopted dogs. This will mean we can help them find the loving homes they deserve and help support the medical treatmrnt in those homes, if needed.
