Volunteers are the lifeblood of Bedlington Terrier Rescue Foundation - we simply could not operate without our very dedicated team of volunteers.
We are always on the lookout for volunteers up and down the country to help transport dogs to their new homes or raise much needed funds to help support our work.
We are also looking for experienced Bedlington owners, happy to train to become foster carers for us. This is a very important role and you will be a huge part in helping to rehabilitate a dog to help improve their chance of finding a new home. We will provide the training and support you need for this role to make sure you get the most out of volunteering with us.
You will often have the chance to work with many of the best behaviourists in the country who we appoint to help our dogs that come with issues. We are particularly keen to recruit foster carers who have no dogs or who have behaviour / training experience.
If you would like to be considered as Foster Carer for us, please download and complete theFOSTER CARER'S FORMand return it to us and Lorraine Godfrey, on our Training and Behaviour Team will make contact with you.
How do I become a volunteer?
We would love to hear from you if you would like to volunteer to help us! You can either contact our Director, Frances Fuller on 01559 384499 / 07398 779515. You can also email Kaye Scott on email@example.com.
How much of a commitment will I be required to make?
Although all the main BTRF Team are volunteers, they are totally committed to their roles on the team. Therefore, yes there is a commitment and all volunteers will be expected to work closely with our Director, Frances Fuller as well as the amazing team! We are a very friendly group of like-minded people who are passionate about the breed and will encourage any new volunteers to work together as part of that team.
BTRF have a number of Area Coordinators around the country.
Please be aware that many of the coordinators that volunteer for BTRF also have full time jobs but they will make contact with you as soon as possible
