    • Celebrating over 47 years of giving Bedlingtons a helping hand

      The late Barbara Butcher MBE and Phyllis Cooper started Bedlington Terrier Rescue in 1976. The current team of volunteers continue to offer their time for free to help this wonderful breed.  BTRF is totally self funded and work extremely hard to raise the necessary monies to be able to continue helping rescued Bedlingtons and their crosses that need new homes across the United Kingdom.

      During the height of the Covid Pandemic, BTRF endeavoured to continue to operate as best we could. As life has begun to get back to some sort of normality we have learnt to adapt and embrace changes in how we operate. This means that we are now able to carry out Intake Assessments and Home Check Interviews online via Zoom as well as in person! This really has enhanced our rehoming process
